The project groups had participants from all over the world, and, of course a number of local people as well.
It was a remarkable opportunity for people to really get to know one another and to make a connection with the Brazilian culture at a grass roots level.
These were all social projects which either dealt directly with the endangered environment, or brought one into touch with the plight of Brazil’s poor, but in such a way as to work together positively and with hope for a better future.
