Centro Universitario Senac, São Paulo

We are being hosted at SENAC, a private university with 6 campuses in the São Paulo region and branches in other Latin American countries. It is well-known for its educational standards and accessibility also for those who might otherwise not be able to afford a private college.

SENAC came into being in1946 through legislation authorising the Brazilian National Confederation of Commerce to found and administrate commercial training centers throughout the country.

The resolution was in response to calls from representatives of various sectors of the country's economy for the Brazilian federal government to increase and improve secondary and higher education in several areas, including commerce. Senac's many opportunities are thus the business world's educational contribution to the development of commerce.
In operation for more than half a century, SENAC, São Paulo, is proud to offer a broad and innovative curriculum, ranging from basic to post-graduate education, in addition to its training hotels, its publishing house and television station. They offer a wide range of modern courses, including Photography, Cooking and Nutrition, and Environmental Studies.

The campus we are using is quite new, was only completed last year and still being extended. At present, there are about 16,000 students on that campus
It is relatively easy to get to, as their is a railway station close by
There are over 100 rooms for tutorials and workshops, a hall seating 800 people and the possibility of using the large foyer to seat the rest. Besides this, their infrastructure will allow us access to the electronic and other equipment we need – 80 computers, sound, and video equipment, and all the other facilities required to run a conference on this scale.
